MBDA Systems are subjected to very high dynamic loadings under severe environments (temperature, humidity, vibration,…).

The aim was to assess the feasibility of the use of a cold spray torch to reproduce a unsteady pressure template representative of our applications.

Relevant test conditions are based on STAR-CCM+® multi variable analysis.

Comparison between simulations and measurements for different unsteady pressure sensor technologies has allowed to validate STAR-CCM+ modeling.

Experimental validation of DES model for a wing

The flow around a wing is usually well represented by a RANS simulation in cruise conditions, when no zones of separated flow are present. On the contrary, as the angle of attack increases because of the request of higher lift values, the flow separations become important, and the flow is more complex.
